Cosy Home Decor with Posterlounge

Since moving into our home in 2015 we’ve done a fair amount of decorating however, two back to back pregnancies put the brakes on anything further happening. Fast forward to today and we’re now back in a position where we’d like to continue improving our home and perhaps decorating some of the rooms which are still magnolia!

First up on my hit list was the downstairs cloakroom. It’s a room that most visitors will see so it’s really been bothering me that it’s not looking its best. I’ve had a colour scheme in mind for a while now however my first paint pot tester was a fail and far too dark for the small space.  A few weeks later I stumbled across the paint colour of dreams and the wheels were back in motion.

We’ve used Posterlounge to add some cool new art work to, not only the cloakroom, but also our downstairs hallway and Elsie’s bedroom. The website is fantastic and really easy to use however the one major issue is that there is just so much choice! We opted to have two of our pieces mounted on to acrylic – not a material I’d ever really come across when it comes to wall art but I love the finished, clean look.

In the bathroom I really wanted a dusky pink and gold colour scheme with hints of green coming from some gorgeous botanicals including this acrylic glass mounted image on the back wall. Its called ‘Leaves and Cubes’ and suits the space perfectly. It also has a geometric element which I’ve reflected (quite literally) in the mirror selection.

Now she’s almost 2.5 years old her bedroom is transitioning from a nursery to a proper little girls bedroom where she likes to play and hang out with her sisters. We’ve always had the walls painted a gorgeous sage green with hints of pink and white and a bunny theme running throughout. So, when I saw this gorgeous bunny print on the Posterlounge website I had to have it. We chose to have it mounted on to canvas and it’s just the perfect mix of colours to coordinate with her existing decor.

The website really couldn’t be easier to use; either type in a search term on the home page or use the menus to navigate to what you’re after. Posterlounge stock everything from abstract art and contemporary typography to illustrations and photography so you’re bound to find some perfect for your home.

I can’t wait to get started on another room now although my husbands probably going to roll his eyes when I drop the hint!
